True Friends

Once upon a time, there were two close friends who were walking through the forest together. They knew that anything dangerous can happen any time in the forest. So they promised each other that they would always be together in any case of danger.

Suddenly, they saw a large bear getting closer toward them. One of them climbed a nearby tree at once. But unfortunately the other one did not know how to climb up the tree. So being led by his common sense, he lay down on the ground breathless and pretended to be a dead man.

The bear came near the one who was lying on the ground. It smelt in his ears, and slowly left the place because the bears do not want to touch the dead creatures. After that, the friend on the tree came down and asked his friend that was on the ground, "Friend, what did the bear whisper into your ears?" The other friend replied, "Just now the bear advised me not to believe a false friend."

Moral of the Story- A true friend in need is a friend indeed.

HOW TO MAKE A DIY DREAMCATCHER

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 skein embroidery floss
  • natural gemstone beads (I used 4mm Amazonite beads)

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Start wrapping the suede lace around the metal hoop, leaving a tail of about 6 inches at the top of the hoop.
  • Continue wrapping the suede lace around the metal hoop, trying to keep it as tight and close together as possible.
  • Once you get to the end, nestle the suede lace so that there is no metal showing. Both tails should be pointing up.
  • Tie a tight knot at the base of the tails, right at the top of the hoop. Tie another knot at the ends of the tails. This will be used to hang the dreamcatcher.
  • Tie one end of the embroidery floss around the suede lace knot at the top of the dreamcatcher.
  • Bring the embroidery floss around through the inside of the hoop, over the top of the hoop, and back through the loop just made by the embroidery floss. (See the photos for clarification)
  • Continue this motion around the hoop, until you have wrapped it around the hoop 12 times and are back at the top. Keep some slack in the embroidery floss.
  • Do the same thing again around the hoop, but instead of wrapping around the outside of the hoop, you will wrap around the middle of the embroidery floss loop.
  • Keep wrapping around and around, pulling a little tighter with each pass around. Add in the gemstones beads at any point during this process. (Depending on the size of the hole in your gemstone beads, you may need to use a needle to thread them onto the embroidery floss.)
  • Once you have gone around as much as you want, pull the end of the embroidery floss to tighten the web and tie with a secure knot.
  • Thread the embroidery floss through the loops at the top of the feathers. (Or tie them securely if your feathers don’t have loops) The add as many beads and you like on each string.
  • Tie the feathers and beads onto the dreamcatcher loop evenly along the bottom.

To assist the gravediggers, Suyono assigned two people to each grave. He also said the number of COVID-19 cases was continuing to increase in Cerme, prompting the village administration to strengthen protocols in the village. Based on the Regent Law No. 22/2020, residents who violate the protocols are subject to fines or community service as punishment. Separately, Cerme Police chief Adj. Pol. Comm. Moh. E. Latihan Soal
1. Give the generic structure of the text below by giving the name for every paragraph in boxes given.

2. Write an explanation text telling about how rainbow is formed. Don’t forget to make a draft and include passive voices in your text.

A rainbow is a multicolored arc made by light striking water droplets.

A rainbow is an optical illusion it does not actually exist in a specific spot in the sky. Rainbows are the result of the refraction and reflection of light. Both refraction and reflection are phenomena that involve a change in a wave's direction. A refracted wave may appear "bent", while a reflected wave might seem to "bounce back" from a surface or other wavefront.

Light entering a water droplet is refracted. It is then reflected by the back of the droplet. As this reflected light leaves the droplet, it is refracted again, at multiple angles. The radius of a rainbow is determined by the water droplets' refractive index. A refractive index is the measure of how much a ray of light refracts (bends) as it passes from one medium to another—from air to water, for example. A droplet with a high refractive index will help produce a rainbow with a smaller radius. Saltwater has a higher refractive index than freshwater, for instance, so rainbows formed by sea spray will be smaller than rainbows formed by rain. Rainbows are actually full circles. The antisolar point is the center of the circle. Viewers in aircraft can sometimes see these circular rainbows.

Viewers on the ground can only see the light reflected by raindrops above the horizon. Because each person's horizon is a little different, no one actually sees a full rainbow from the ground. In fact, no one sees the same rainbow—each person has a different antisolar point, each person has a different horizon. Someone who appears below or near the "end" of a rainbow to one viewer will see another rainbow, extending from his or her own horizon.

Explanation Text (SOAL)

A kite is an object which is made from a light material stretched over a frame. Due to its light material a kite will lift off the ground and fly when it is tilted into the wind.

A kite is uses wind to make it fly because it is heavier than air. When wind travels over the surface of the kite, it is split into two streams of air. One stream of the air goes over the kite while the second stream goes under the kite.

The upper stream above the kite. The lower stream hits the kite at a shallow angle and creates an area of high pressure.

The high pressure area has a pushing effect while the low pressure area has a pulling effect. The combination of push and pull can creates enough force to lift the kite into the air.
